A few years ago, I gave a speech at a law firm retreat regarding marketing and strategic planning.  It was a large firm, lawyers and marketers came in from 20+ offices, speaking dozens of different languages.  And while I spoke, someone behind me and along the side DREW my speech.  LIVE. In real time. I know, crazy.

The company is Alphachimp.  It was an amazing experience for everyone, myself included.  It took a little getting used to; it was hard not to get distracted by seeing how they were illustrating the points I was making, in real time.  In an artistic frenzy, the artist listened to my speech, synthesized my points into one or more visual images and sketched them on huge sheets of paper.

Below are some examples from their website.  Unfortunately, I don’t have the sheets from my speech, but these are representative of their work.  Cool stuff.  It was somewhat distracting, obviously, but overall, it seemed to add to the total effect.  I think we all found it quite fascinating.  I’d highly recommend them for another law firm retreat.
